LCG, November 26, 2025--RWE announced today the commissioning of the Stoneridge Solar project, located in Milam County, Texas. The project capacity is 200 MW of solar power, plus a battery energy storage system (BESS) that provides 100 MW (200 MWh) of battery storage capacity. LCG, November 19, 2025--Oklo Inc. and Siemens Energy announced today that the parties have signed a binding contract for the design and delivery of the power conversion system for Oklo’s Aurora-INL (Idaho National Laboratory) nuclear small modular reactor (SMR). The agreement authorizes Siemens Energy to begin engineering and design work to expedite procurement of long-lead components and to initiate the manufacturing process for the power conversion system. Oklo’s expertise in advanced fission technology will be combined with Siemens Energy’s extensive industry experience with steam turbine and generator systems, with the ultimate goal of generating carbon-free, reliable electricity.

RWE Commissions the 200-MW Stoneridge Solar Project in Texas
LCG, November 26, 2025--RWE announced today the commissioning of the Stoneridge Solar project, located in Milam County, Texas. The project capacity is 200 MW of solar power, plus a battery energy storage system (BESS) that provides 100 MW (200 MWh) of battery storage capacity. The BESS improves the supply of short-term, reliable, affordable electricity in ERCOT.
RWE Clean Energy's CEO commented, "Stoneridge Solar is a great example of the power of local partnership and the positive role energy projects play in economic stimulation. We are helping Texas and the nation secure their energy future with scalable, homegrown energy while also delivering meaningful benefits to communities across America’s heartland."
RWE’s announcement states that the Stoneridge Solar project demonstrates RWE's commitment to accelerate energy independence and provide necessary power to the grid. Furthermore, RWE adds that its energy capacity across the nation has grown to more than 11 GW.
Earlier in November, RWE completed construction on the 100-MW Lafitte Solar project in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana. The project is expected to be fully operational and producing clean electricity by the end of the year. RWE has a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Meta for the this project, which will deliver renewable electricity to the Louisiana grid. Through the agreement, Meta will also receive the project’s environmental benefits, including Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to move Meta closer to its clean energy and sustainability goals.
