OG&E and Google Announce Contract for Three Data Centers in Oklahoma

LCG, April 30, 2026--OG&E, the operating subsidiary of OGE Energy Corp., announced today that it will power three new data centers that Google announced in Muskogee and Stillwater, Oklahoma last year. As part of the agreement, Google will also make power generation capacity available from two solar facilities in Stephens and Muskogee Counties that are currently under construction. The data centers and associated Electric Service Agreements are expected to provide economic growth for local communities and the state, contribute to grid stability, and benefit OG&E's current customers.

Graphic Packaging and NextEra Energy Resources Sign 250-MW Virtual Power Purchase Agreement

LCG, April 29, 2026--Graphic Packaging Holding Company today announced a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with NextEra Energy Resources, LLC. With the VPPA agreement, NextEra Energy Resources plans to build the Selenite Springs Energy Center, a 250-MW solar energy facility in West Texas, and Graphic Packaging will be the sole buyer of the facility's renewable energy attribute certificates. Graphic Packaging, a global provider of sustainable consumer packaging, expects the agreement to cover approximately 43 percent of its 2025 electricity usage in the U.S. and Canada. The agreement will advance Graphic Packaging's commitment to source renewable electricity and reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Oklo Announces DOE Approval for Nuclear Safety Design Agreement of Aurora Powerhouse at Idaho National Lab

LCG, March 17, 2026--Oklo Inc. (Oklo) today announced that it has signed a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) to support the design, construction, and operation of Oklo’s first reactor, the Aurora powerhouse at Idaho National Laboratory (INL) under DOE’s Reactor Pilot Program (RPP). The DOE Idaho Operations Office subsequently approved the Nuclear Safety Design Agreement (NSDA) for the fast-fission power plant, and Oklo immediately requested DOE commence review of its Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis (PDSA).

The NSDA is the first step under DOE’s RPP authorization licensing pathway to build and operate advanced nuclear generating capacity. Oklo plans to subsequently pursue NRC licensing to support commercial operations. With the OTA signed and the NSDA approved, the Aurora powerhouse at INL (Aurora-INL) enters the next phase of project execution under DOE oversight after initial groundbreaking in September.

Oklo's co-founder and CEO stated, "The OTA sets the program structure, while the design agreement reflects DOE’s rigorous authorization process and safety-first approach. DOE’s pathway for the Aurora-INL supports a stepwise approach to deploying our first powerhouse while we continue progressing our engagement for future commercial licensing by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission."

The Manager of the DOE Idaho Operations Office said, "DOE Idaho is committed to enabling safe, disciplined progress from design to demonstration. With the Aurora powerhouse NSDA—alongside the Aurora Fuel Fabrication Facility—we’re supporting an integrated Idaho effort that can help scale domestic nuclear capability for the next generation of secure and reliable energy."

Last July, Oklo announced that it selected Kiewit Nuclear Solutions Co. as the lead constructor for its first commercial Aurora powerhouse. Kiewit Nuclear Solutions Co. (Kiewit), a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, will support the design, procurement, and construction of the Aurora-INL. The schedule announced at the time included commercial operations targeted for late 2027 to early 2028. The Aurora-INL represents a major milestone in Oklo’s near-term commercialization strategy to deliver clean, reliable, and affordable energy using proven, advanced nuclear technology.

In November 2025, Oklo announced a binding contract with Siemens Energy for the design and delivery of the power conversion system for Oklo’s Aurora powerhouse. The agreement authorizes Siemens Energy to begin engineering and design work to expedite procurement of long-lead components and initiate the manufacturing process for the power conversion system. The agreement combines Oklo’s expertise in advanced fission technology with Siemens Energy’s industry-leading steam turbine and generator systems to reliably produce electricity using proven industrial equipment

The Aurora-INL is supported by Oklo’s broader Idaho work, such as the Aurora Fuel Fabrication Facility (A3F) at INL, which will fabricate the first fuel assemblies for the Aurora-INL. DOE Idaho approved the A3F NSDA in November 2025 and the A3F PDSA in December under DOE’s Advanced Nuclear Fuel Line Pilot Program.
