Data Center Customer Adds 620 MW Order for INNIO's J624 Gas Engines

LCG, October 23, 2026--INNIO N.V. yesterday announced a 620 MW follow-on order from a developer and operator of mega-scale data center campuses in the United States. Together with the customer’s 1.1 GW order announced previously in July, the new order brings cumulative orders from the customer to approximately 1.72 GW this year.

All of the 620 MW order will be delivered as INNIO’s containerized Jenbacher J624 solutions. The J624 gas engine can produce approximately 4.5 MW, and the containerized delivery will enable standardized installation and accelerated deployment.

Separately, the customer signed a long-term full maintenance agreement covering the first 500 MW of the previously ordered capacity, including all spare parts and labor through a major overhaul.

The President and CEO of INNIO stated, "This follow-on order, coming just months after the customer’s initial 1.1 GW order, underscores the strength of customer demand and continued confidence in INNIO. Our containerized Jenbacher solutions deliver what data centers need most: fast deployment, high power density, fuel efficiency, and the performance to support demanding AI workloads. Repeat orders of this scale, combined with long-term service agreements, strengthen our backlog and expand the services base that underpins our business model."

INNIO’s J624 is a two-stage turbocharged V24-cylinder engine designed for power generation and introduced in 2007. The 1,500-rpm engine speed results in a high power density with low installation costs, and its pre-combustion chamber achieves high efficiency with low emissions. Attributes include high power density, ease of transport and more stable load-following.

The announcement stated that the 620 MW equipment order was booked in September 2026, and, in line with customary confidentiality practices in the data center industry, the customer’s name was not disclosed.
