LCG, October 6, 2026--Google and Constellation Energy today announced a long-term strategic clean energy collaboration to bring 890 MW of new, reliable, carbon-free nuclear capacity onto the PJM Interconnection grid to meet growing demand and increase grid reliability. LCG, October 5, 2026--The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) today announced a conditional loan commitment of up to $4.2 billion to finance nuclear uprates and modernization across Vistra’s nuclear fleet in Pennsylvania and Ohio. The projects are expected to preserve nearly 4 GW of carbon-free, baseload power and add 433 MW of new nuclear capacity that will support the growing electricity demand across the PJM region.

Enron to Build 1,200 Megawatt Plant Near Cadiz
LCG, July 19, 2000--Enron Corp. said yesterday that it would build a 1,200 megawatt gas-fired power plant in southwest Spain, becoming the first foreign company to enter the Spanish electric power generation market.The first of several, the Spanish government hopes. Last month, the government said it would introduce full competition to the power generation sector by 2003, four years ahead of a previously announced schedule.The U.S. energy company said it had received Spanish government approval to build the new facility in Arcos de la Frontera, about 20 miles inland from the port of Cadiz.Enrons Eric Gonzales said "We believe this is a very positive move toward the liberalization of the Spanish energy market and will help Enron to consolidate its presence in Spain, as well as increase its business opportunities."Plans call for construction to begin this autumn and commercial operation to begin in early 2003. Enrons investment in the facility will be about $445 million.
