LCG, April 30, 2026--OG&E, the operating subsidiary of OGE Energy Corp., announced today that it will power three new data centers that Google announced in Muskogee and Stillwater, Oklahoma last year. As part of the agreement, Google will also make power generation capacity available from two solar facilities in Stephens and Muskogee Counties that are currently under construction. The data centers and associated Electric Service Agreements are expected to provide economic growth for local communities and the state, contribute to grid stability, and benefit OG&E's current customers.

LCG, April 29, 2026--Graphic Packaging Holding Company today announced a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with NextEra Energy Resources, LLC. With the VPPA agreement, NextEra Energy Resources plans to build the Selenite Springs Energy Center, a 250-MW solar energy facility in West Texas, and Graphic Packaging will be the sole buyer of the facility's renewable energy attribute certificates. Graphic Packaging, a global provider of sustainable consumer packaging, expects the agreement to cover approximately 43 percent of its 2025 electricity usage in the U.S. and Canada. The agreement will advance Graphic Packaging's commitment to source renewable electricity and reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Belfast Approves Power Plant Ties with Dublin
LCG, Aug. 18, 2000--The electricity regulator of Northern Ireland has approved plans under which a 150 million natural gas-fired power plant would be built in Ulster by a joint venture including the Republic of Irelands state-owned Electricity Supply Board.The 400 megawatt plant will be built by a joint venture between the ESB and British Gas at a cost of about $225 million (U.S.) at the site of an existing oil-fired plant in the town of Coolkeeragh near Londonderry -- or Derry, if you live in the Republic.With the plant as an anchor customer, British Gas would find it feasible to build a natural gas pipeline connecting northeastern Ireland with Scotland. The new pipeline, in turn, would permit natural gas service to about 80,000 new customers in Northern Ireland.The ESB-BG joint venture is called Coolkeeragh Group Ltd. Its proposal was chosen by Northern Irelands power regulator Douglas McIldoon in competition with alternative proposals from PowerGen and Viridian.The ESB said about 350 construction workers would be required to build the plant, which would provide 40 full time employees once completed.
