LCG, September 12, 2025--Entergy announced yesterday that the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) approved Entergy Texas’ proposal to build two efficient natural gas-fired power plants to support the region’s rapid growth. The combined electric generating capacity of the two facilities, the Legend Power Station and the Lone Star Power Station, will add over 1,200 MW to the Southeast Texas power grid to support new customer demand, increase reliability and lower costs for all customers. Both facilities are scheduled to commence operations by mid-2028.

LCG, September 4, 2025--Puget Sound Energy (PSE) announced yesterday that phased construction has commenced on its 142-MW Appaloosa Solar Project, a utility-scale solar facility underway in southeastern Washington. The project is being built by Qcells EPC, who will serve as the module manufacturer and the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solution provider. Construction is scheduled through 2026, and commercial operation is expected at the end of next year.

Entergy, NYPA Close Sale of Indian Point 3, FitzPatrick
LCG, Nov. 22, 2000--Entergy Corp. and the New York Power Authority yesterday closed the sale ofNYPA's two nuclear power plants, Indian Point unit 3 in Buchanan, N.Y., and the James A. FitzPatrick plant near Oswego, N.Y. The two organizations announced the deal last March.Entergy said in a statement that the acquisition is its largest yet in its nuclear growth program and, at $967 million, is the highest price yet paid for nuclear assets in the U.S.Entergy Nuclear Northeast now has three plants to operate. Entergy purchased the Pilgrim NuclearStation at Plymouth, Mass., in July 1999 from Boston Edison Co. in the first sale in the U.S. of anuclear power plant in a competitive bidding process. With Indian Point 3 wrapped up, Entergy will now pursue its acquisition of Indian Point 2 and the mothballed Unit 1 from Consolidated Edison Co. of New York, and hopes to close that transaction by next summer. Con Edison is replacing the steam generators in Indian Point 2 and hopes to have the plant running by the end of the year.
