LCG, July 24, 2025--The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today announced the next steps in the Trump administration’s plan to accelerate the development of AI infrastructure by using Federal lands to lower energy costs and help power the global AI race, as previously outlined in President Trump’s Executive Orders on Accelerating Federal Permitting of Data Center Infrastructure, Deploying Advanced Nuclear Reactor Technologies for National Security, and Unleashing American Energy.

LCG, July 22, 2025--Enbridge Inc. (Enbridge) today announced that it has reached a final investment decision on the Clear Fork solar project located near San Antonio, Texas. Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta), has signed a long-term contract for all of the renewable power generated from the 600-MW project.

Lisa M. Bodensteiner, general counsel for Calpine Corp., has been promotedto senior vice president. In 1996, Bodensteiner joined Calpine as associate counsel. Since then, her responsibilities have grown rapidly to include oversight of a large and expanding legal staff at the corporate office and the regional offices in Boston, Houston and Pleasanton, Calif.John Erickson has been named president of Otter Tail Corp., the new name of Otter Tail Power Co. He was made an executive vice president in June of last year in preparation for the retirement of John MacFarlane who will remain chairman and chief executive until 2002, when Erickson is expected to succeed him in those positions.Alan J. Noia, chairman, p[resident, and chief executive ofAllegheny Energy Inc., has been elected a director of the Electric Power Research Institute for a four-year term, beginning this month.Bruce E. Walenczyk will join Allegheny Energy Inc. May 1 as senior vicepresident and chief financial officer, replacing Michael P. Morrell, who was appointed president of Allegheny Energy Supply Co. earlier this year. Walenczyk was most recently financial vice president with PSEG Energy Holdings Inc.Deaths George L. Ingalls, a New York Power Authority trustee for 23 years until his retirement in 1990, died Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton. He was 86. Ingalls was appointed to the board by Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller in 1967, and his 23 years as an NYPA trustee -- 17 years as vice chairman --is a record. His lengthy tenure was recognized in 1991 when the powerhouse at the Power Authority's Blenheim-Gilboa pumped storage power project in Schoharie County was named for him.
