LCG, October 6, 2026--Google and Constellation Energy today announced a long-term strategic clean energy collaboration to bring 890 MW of new, reliable, carbon-free nuclear capacity onto the PJM Interconnection grid to meet growing demand and increase grid reliability. The first uprate is expected to be delivered by 2028.

LCG, October 5, 2026--The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) today announced a conditional loan commitment of up to $4.2 billion to finance nuclear uprates and modernization across Vistra’s nuclear fleet in Pennsylvania and Ohio. The projects are expected to preserve nearly 4 GW of carbon-free, baseload power and add 433 MW of new nuclear capacity that will support the growing electricity demand across the PJM region.

PSEG Begins 204 Megawatt Plant in Poland
LCG, April 23, 2001Public Service Enterprise Group of New Jersey said this morning is has begun building a 204 megawatt power and heating plant in Poland at an expected cost of $335 million.The facility will be fueled by hard Silesian coal, plentiful in southern Poland. PSEG will finance construction from its own fund and a syndicated loan and expects to have the plant in operation in late 2003."PSEG wants to be a major energy supplier in Poland," said Michael Thomson, chief of PSEG's European unit at a news conference held in Chorzow, in the Silesian province of Katowice, where the new plant is being built.PSEG, which owns Public Service Electric & Gas Co. of Newark, said it is also bidding to acquire a stake in a mid-size existing power plant from the Polish treasury and may bid on other offers which the government will make later this year.Poland has said it would privatize 17 power plants and 33 electric distribution systems by the end of next year.
