LCG, March 31, 2025--Dow and X-Energy Reactor Company, LLC ("X-energy") today announced the submission of a construction permit application to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ("NRC") for a proposed advanced nuclear project in Seadrift, Texas. The proposed advanced small modular reactor ("SMR") project could begin construction later this decade and commence operations early next decade.

LCG, March 27, 2025--Avangrid, Inc., a member of the Iberdrola Group, today announced that its True North Solar project, located in Falls County, Texas, has achieved commercial operation. The True North Solar project will deliver electricity into ERCOT and support Meta's operations, including Meta's upcoming data center in neighboring Temple, its second data center in Texas.

Brandt who has chosen to resign in order to provide energy consulting services. Baxter will also be chief financial officer of subsidiaries Union Electric Co., Central Illinois Public Service Co. and Ameren Services.Allison G. Bridges has been named senior vice president for strategic marketing by the gas pipeline unit of The Williams Companies Inc. She will continue to have responsibility for customer relations and business development for national accounts, service delivery and e-business initiatives for Williams' gas pipeline unit. Gary Rainwater has been named president and chief operating officer of utility holding company Ameren Corp., succeeding Charles Mueller, who will remain chairman and chief executive. Rainwater will remain president and chief executive of AmerenCIPS, (Central Illinois Public Service Co.) and will also become president and COO of AmerenUE (Union Electric Co.), itsMissouri-based utility company, and of the Ameren Services unit.Leonard M. Willoughby has been assigned by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as resident inspector at the Ft. Calhoun Nuclear Station in Nebraska. He joined theNRC in May 1999, and has worked in the Region IV offices in Arlington, Texas, as a project engineerand reactor engineer in the Division of Reactor Projects.
