LCG, July 22, 2025--Enbridge Inc. (Enbridge) today announced that it has reached a final investment decision on the Clear Fork solar project located near San Antonio, Texas. Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta), has signed a long-term contract for all of the renewable power generated from the 600-MW project.

Atmos to Acquire Mississippi Valley Gas
LCG, Sept. 25, 2001-- Atmos Energy Corp. said yesterday it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Mississippi Valley Gas Company, a privately held natural gas utility, for $150 million, half in cash and half in stock. Atmos also will assume outstanding debt of approximately $45 million.Mississippi Valley Gas, based in Jackson, Miss., is the state's largest gas utility, serving about 261,500 customers. Residential customers account for 89 percent of the utility's customer base and for 46 percent of its revenues. Jackson is the largest urban area served.The company operates a 5,500-mile distribution system and 335 miles of transmission pipeline. It also owns two underground gas storage facilities in northeast Mississippi, with a combined working gas capacity of 2.05 billion cubic feet."Mississippi Valley Gas will fit well into the growing Atmos system," said Robert W. Best, Atmos chief executive. "By expanding into Mississippi, Atmos will enhance its position in the Southeastern United States and will gain the advantages of a strong operating utility, additional gas-storage facilities and the goodwill from Mississippi Valley Gas' reputation for providing excellent customer service."Mississippi Valley Gas will continue to operate as a separate Atmos subsidiary and will keep its Jackson headquarters, the company said."As a result of successfully acquiring companies like Mississippi Valley Gas," Best said, "Atmos has more than doubled in size during the past four years. We are proud of our record of not only adding profitable assets to our utility system, but also maintaining our customers' trust and satisfaction."
