LCG, January 13, 2026--Oglethorpe Power today announced it has selected Kiewit Corporation through its subsidiary, The Industrial Company (TIC), as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) partner for its new combined-cycle (CC), natural gas-fired power plant in Monroe County, Georgia. The new, 1,425-MW facility represents a capital investment of more than $3 billion. Commercial operation of the new generation capacity is planned to commence in 2029.

LCG, January 9, 2026--Meta today announced new, landmark agreements that will (i) extend and expand the operation of three existing nuclear power plants and (ii) drive the development of advanced nuclear technology. Meta's new agreements with Vistra, TerraPower, and Oklo follow Meta's request for proposals (RFP) issued last month. Meta expects these projects to deliver up to 6.6 GW of new and existing clean nuclear energy by 2035.

He is president and chief executive officer of Sealed Air Corp., a leadingprovider of protective, food and specialty packaging materials and systems.Christopher P. Johns has been promoted to senior vice president and controller by PG&E Corp. Since joining the company in 1996, he has been responsible for accounting, tax and financial planning and analysis.Wilma Kumar-Rubock has been named vice president and chief information officerof Washington Gas Light Co. A 30-year veteran of Washington Gas, she became chief information officer last year.Terry McCallister has been named president and chief operating officer of WGL Holdings Inc. and its subsidiary Washington Gas Light Co. He joined Washington Gas last year from Southern Natural Gas Co. where he was vice president and director of operations. John G. Russell has been elected president and chief executive officer-electric of Consumers Energy Co. He succeeds David W. Joos who became president and chief operating officer of parent company CMS Energy Corp. on October 1. Russell was previously senior vice president of electric transmission and distribution, a post he had held since September 1999.Karen Tomcala has been named vice president for regulatory relations by Pacific Gas & Electric Co. She joined PG&E in 1998 as director of federal governmental and regulatory regulations from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, where she was senior counsel and policy advisor to then-chairman James Hoecker.DQE Announces Executive Suite AppointmentsUtility holding company DQE Inc. has announced five executive appointments aimed at achieving a more concentrated focus on its core utility operations.- Frosina C. Cordisco becomes a vice president and treasurer. She has held various executive positions at Duquesne Light Co. and other DQE affiliates.
- Lora E. Dikun has also been named a vice president and will be responsible for executive compensation. She most recently served as DQE assistant vice president, responsible for executive compensation and benefits design, corporate risk management and pension investments.
- Stevan R. Schott has been named a vice president and controller of DQE. He most recently was vice president for finance and customer service with Duquesne Light Co.
- James E. Wilson becomes vice president for corporate development. Previously, he was controller of several subsidiaries, including Duquesne Light and DQE Financial.
- Anthony F. Pekny has been promoted to assistant vice president for corporate development. He has occupied various managerial positions with Duquesne Light.
