LCG, December 12, 2025--Today, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. (ERCOT) announced strategic organizational changes designed to accelerate innovation, strengthen grid reliability, and support the unprecedented growth in the demand for electricity across Texas. To meet these objectives, ERCOT created two new organizations: Interconnection and Grid Analysis, and Enterprise Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The two organizations will formally launch in January 2026.

LCG, December 8, 2025--Basin Electric Power Cooperative (Basin Electric) and NextEra Energy Resources, LLC (NextEra) today announced that they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to explore the joint development of the River Run Energy Center, a new combined-cycle natural gas-fueled generation facility in Basin Electric's North Dakota service territory. The proposed facility will have a planned capacity of approximately 1,450 MW.

J. Frank Bates has been promoted to chief operations officer by El Paso Electric Co. He replaces Eduardo Rodriguez, who resigned last week to pursue other career interests. Bates was previously vice president for transmission and distribution, and now adds generation to his responsibilities.Roy A. Edwards III, president, chief executive and a director of First National Bank of Hutchinson, Kan., has joined the Western Resources Inc. board of directors. He is also former president of Douglas County Bank in Lawrence, Kan.Kristine Euclide has joined Madison Gas & Electric Co. as vice president and general counsel. She most recently was a senior partner with the Madison, Wisc., office of Stafford Rosenbaum law firm.George H. Gilmore will join Exelon Corp. Monday as a senior vice president. He will also be president of the corporation's Exelon Enterprises unit. Gilmore most recently was a group president with National Service Industries, Inc., a diversified manufacturing and service company.Heidi E. He joined Calpine from Central & South West Corp. as director of risk controls in June 2000, and has since built an outstanding group of strategic, quantitative analysis and information technology professionals, the company said.William Siderewicz has been promoted to senior vice president for business development by Calpine Corp. He currently manages the business development activities for Calpine's rapidly growing Eastern region.Peter Snyder has been assigned by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as the agency's resident inspector at the 2,350 megawatt Byron Nuclear Power Plant owned by Exelon Corp. subsidiary Commonwealth Edison Co. in Illinois.Keith Stamm, who has been chief executive officer of UtiliCorp United Inc.'s Aquila, Inc. subsidiary has been named president and chief operating officer of UtiliCorp's new Global Networks Group, which will manage all of the company's electric, natural gas and telecommunicationsnetwork operations in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
