LCG, January 13, 2026--Oglethorpe Power today announced it has selected Kiewit Corporation through its subsidiary, The Industrial Company (TIC), as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) partner for its new combined-cycle (CC), natural gas-fired power plant in Monroe County, Georgia. The new, 1,425-MW facility represents a capital investment of more than $3 billion. Commercial operation of the new generation capacity is planned to commence in 2029.

LCG, January 9, 2026--Meta today announced new, landmark agreements that will (i) extend and expand the operation of three existing nuclear power plants and (ii) drive the development of advanced nuclear technology. Meta's new agreements with Vistra, TerraPower, and Oklo follow Meta's request for proposals (RFP) issued last month. Meta expects these projects to deliver up to 6.6 GW of new and existing clean nuclear energy by 2035.

Constellation Energy Group Announces Board ChangesConstellation Energy Group Inc. has announced the election of two new directors and that five will retire, having reached normal retirement age.The new directors are:- Edward J. Kelly III, president and chief executive of Mercantile Bankshares Corp. and former managing director and head of the global financial institutions group for J. P. Morgan Chase & Co., has been elected a director.
- Robert J. Lawless, chairman, president and chief executive of McCormick & Co. Inc. and a 25-year veteran of that firm, has also become a Constellation director.
Those retiring from the board are:- H. Furlong Baldwin, chairman of Mercantile Bankshares Corp.
- J. Owen Cole, retired chairmen and chief executive of First National Bank of Maryland.
- Dan A. Colussy, chairman of Iridium Satellite LLC.
- Jerome W. Geckle, retired chairman and chief executive of PHH Corp.
- George L. Russell Jr., currently associated with the law offices of Peter G. Angelos.
