LCG, March 13, 2026--The Southwest Power Pool (SPP) announced yesterday that leaders from the participating organizations voted unanimously to proceed as planned with expanding its regional transmission organization (RTO) services into the Western Interconnection. SPP sees the decision to proceed as planned as a strong signal of confidence as SPP and its partner utilities prepare for this key milestone, which will occur overnight between March 31 and April 1.

LCG, March 6, 2026--Entergy yesterday announced approximately $5 billion in total savings for 2.3 million customers in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi resulting from data center customer agreements in those states. Entergy, which completed its first data center customer agreement in 2024, projects the customer savings over the next 20 years and after the regulatory approval or acknowledgement of the public service commissions in those states.

Ann Cohn has been named Vice President of the Americas region and Associate General Counsel for Edison Mission Energy. She is currently an Associate General Counsel at Southern California Edison, where she has been since 1980. Michael Peevey will take a position on the California Public Utility Commission, replacing Richard Bilas, who has been on the Commission since 1997. Peevey has held posts at Edison International in addition to being president of energy service company NewEnergy Inc., and chief executive of TruePricing Inc. George A. Williams, previously general manager of nuclear assurance at the PPL Susquehanna nuclear power plant in Berwick, Pa, will become vice president of operations support for Entergy Nuclear's South region. He has held various nuclear power-related posts, including general management positions at Carolina Power & Light Company. Washington's Puget Energy announced today that Douglas P. Beighle will replace William S. Weaver as chairman of the board. Senior vice president of Boeing Beighle retired in 1997 and currently serves as a director of Washington Mutual Bank and Simpson Investment Company. Phil Dandridge has been elected to the position of Chief Financial Officer of Edison Capital after serving as vice president of finance since 1998. He has also served as treasurer for Boeing Capital Corporation.
