LCG, October 6, 2026--Google and Constellation Energy today announced a long-term strategic clean energy collaboration to bring 890 MW of new, reliable, carbon-free nuclear capacity onto the PJM Interconnection grid to meet growing demand and increase grid reliability. LCG, October 5, 2026--The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) today announced a conditional loan commitment of up to $4.2 billion to finance nuclear uprates and modernization across Vistra’s nuclear fleet in Pennsylvania and Ohio. The projects are expected to preserve nearly 4 GW of carbon-free, baseload power and add 433 MW of new nuclear capacity that will support the growing electricity demand across the PJM region.

Gas Discovery Made in British Columbia
LCG, July 25, 2002--A gas exploration venture in eastern British Columbia has yielded a discovery in the Monkman area, the oil and gas producer Talisman Energy announced Thursday.The other partners involved are Anadarko Candada Corp., National Fuel Exploration Corp., and Oiltec Resources Ltd. A well tested to a total measured depth of 4,801 meters is predicted to produce between 15 million to 37 million cubic feet per day, and is scheduled to begin production by September.Talisman president and chief executive Jim Buckee stated in a release that the well in Monkman, the first in the region, will be followed by more wells this year and next. "Although an extensive exploration program will be required, we believe currently identified locations could contain more than one trillion cubic feet of unrisked reserves," he said.
