LCG, October 6, 2026--Google and Constellation Energy today announced a long-term strategic clean energy collaboration to bring 890 MW of new, reliable, carbon-free nuclear capacity onto the PJM Interconnection grid to meet growing demand and increase grid reliability. The first uprate is expected to be delivered by 2028.

LCG, October 5, 2026--The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) today announced a conditional loan commitment of up to $4.2 billion to finance nuclear uprates and modernization across Vistra’s nuclear fleet in Pennsylvania and Ohio. The projects are expected to preserve nearly 4 GW of carbon-free, baseload power and add 433 MW of new nuclear capacity that will support the growing electricity demand across the PJM region.

Ex-Enron Trader Expected to Admit Fraud
LCG, October 17, 2002-A former employee with the West Power Trading division of Enron is expected to plead guilty to charges of fraud, according to a Reuters source.Timothy Belden worked in Portland, Oregon during the California energy crisis and has been charged with conspiring to commit fraud.Reportedly, Belden will plead guilty today to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, an offense which in this case is related to the manipulation of California's electricity market.He is expected to plead guilty in exchange for leniency as he will help government officials to investigate higher-level Enron executives. While Belden's lawyer has publicly contended that her client is not an upper level executive and was not acting out of greed, Senate committee investigators are of the opinion that Belden played an integral role in Enron's market manipulation strategies.Belden's case is being heard in U.S. District court in San Francisco at noon.
