LCG, July 13, 2026--Avantus, an independent power producer (IPP), and Clean Power Alliance (CPA) today announced a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for the Rexford 2 solar and storage project in Tulare County, California. The project will deliver 200 MWac of solar power combined with a 200 MW/800 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) to the California grid. The project is scheduled to commence construction in 2027 and achieve operations in late 2028. Commercial operations under the PPA are scheduled to start in May 2029. Avantus plans to own and operate facility.

Utah PSC Authorizes Lake Side Power Project
LCG, November 16, 2004--Utah Public Service Commission authorized PacifiCorp and its regulated affiliate, Utah Power, to proceed with the construction of the 534-MW Lake Side Power Project. The gas-fired project will be located northwest of Provo near Vineyard, Utah and is estimated to cost $330 million. The Lake Side Power Project will be built by Summit Energy, with a target completion date of 2007. The plant will be owned and operated by PacifiCorp. In March of this year, the Commission also approved Pacificorp's 525-MW, gas-fired Currant Creek power project, which was estimated to cost $345 million. Both plants are expected to be included in PacifiCorp's ratebase.
