LCG, June 4, 2025--Energy Vault Holdings Inc. (Energy Vault) and Jupiter Power (Jupiter) today announced the signing of an agreement for the supply of an additional battery energy storage system (BESS) at a Jupiter site in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) region. The initial BESS project, located near Fort Stockton, Texas, was completed in July 2024, with a storage capacity 100 MW/200 MWh. The new BESS project will add another 100 MW/200 MWh of capacity. Construction has commenced, and the project is expected to achieve commercial operations by the end of this summer.

LCG, May 30, 2025--NuScale Power Corporation (NuScale), a leading provider of advanced small modular reactor (SMR) nuclear technology, yesterday announced that it has received design approval from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for its uprated 77 MW power modules. NuScale states that it remains the only SMR technology company with design approval from the NRC, and the company remains on track for deployment by 2030, with 50- and 77-MW SMR options.

APS Issues RFP for Over 1,000 MW of Long-Term Power Supplies
LCG, June 1, 2005--Arizona Public Service Company (APS) announced yesterday a Request for Proposal (RFP) for at least 1,000 MW of long-term energy resources for delivery beginning between June 2007 and June 2008. APS is forecasting customer growth of almost four percent per year and projects a need for an additional electric generating capacity in 2007 of about 1,300 MW.APS, Arizona's largest electric utility, is requesting summer capacity for a period of not less than five years and a minimum capacity of 25 MW. A bidder's conference for interested parties will be held June 15, and responses to the RFP are due July 18, 2005. APS is the largest subsidiary of Pinnacle West Capital Corp., and APS affiliates will not participate in the RFP.APS also recently issued an RFP for renewable energy supplies totaling at least 100 MW and at least 250,000 MWh per year for a period of not less than five years with deliveries beginning in 2006.
