LCG, August 12, 2026--Arevon Energy, Inc., an energy developer, owner, and operator, today announced that its 300 MW/1,200 MWh Nighthawk Energy Storage Project in Poway, California, is now operational. Arevon celebrated the project's completion with an on-site ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by project partners, local officials, and others who helped bring the project online. Nighthawk, the largest standalone storage facility in the company's portfolio, should enhance system reliability and is among the San Diego region's most significant energy storage facilities.

Court Ruling Allows We Energies' Oak Creek Project to Proceed
LCG, June 29, 2005--Yesterday the Wisconsin Supreme Court voted 4-2 to reverse a Dane County Circuit Court ruling that had blocked the construction of two, 615-MW coal plants. With the new ruling, We Energies plans to proceed rapidly towards construction.Dane County Circuit Judge David Flanagan had ruled last November that the Wisconsin Public Service Commission's (WPSC) approval of the Oak Creek project violated state statutes and that the WPSC must restart the approval process. The PSCW approved the construction of the project in November 2003. The project, estimated to cost $2.15 billion, includes two, supercritical pulverized coal units and would be the largest coal plant in Wisconsin.The project was opposed in court by Clean Wisconsin Inc. and S.C. Johnson & Sons Inc. These opponents are also challenging three state permits which the plant needs to operate, including a lawsuit with the Dane County Circuit Court that challenges the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources' air pollution permit and one for the cooling system, which was an item of dissent among Supreme Court justices.
