LCG, September 12, 2025--Entergy announced yesterday that the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) approved Entergy Texas’ proposal to build two efficient natural gas-fired power plants to support the region’s rapid growth. The combined electric generating capacity of the two facilities, the Legend Power Station and the Lone Star Power Station, will add over 1,200 MW to the Southeast Texas power grid to support new customer demand, increase reliability and lower costs for all customers. Both facilities are scheduled to commence operations by mid-2028.

LCG, September 4, 2025--Puget Sound Energy (PSE) announced yesterday that phased construction has commenced on its 142-MW Appaloosa Solar Project, a utility-scale solar facility underway in southeastern Washington. The project is being built by Qcells EPC, who will serve as the module manufacturer and the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solution provider. Construction is scheduled through 2026, and commercial operation is expected at the end of next year.

Rockies Express Pipeline Clears Hurdle
LCG, March 1, 2006--Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. (KMP) and Sempra Pipelines & Storage, a unit of Sempra Energy, yesterday announced that they have received binding, firm shipper commitments to support proceeding towards construction on the $4 billion Rockies Express Pipeline project, which is designed to transport natural gas east from gas production fields in the Rockies to markets in the upper Midwest and Northeast. The two companies plan to file an application in May for regulatory approval.The Rockies Express Pipeline project is designed to provide 1.8 Bcf/day of new pipeline capacity to transport gas produced in Wyoming and Colorado to eastern markets. The 1,323-mile, 42-inch diameter pipeline will extend from the Cheyenne Hub in Weld County, Colorado to the Clarington Hub in Monroe County, Ohio. The proposed pipeline will include over 25 interconnects to intrastate and interstate pipelines.The project plan calls for the pipeline to be built in phases, with the last phase scheduled for completion by June 2009, given timely regulatory approvals.KMP owns two-thirds of the equity in the project, and Sempra Pipelines & Storage owns the other one-third interest. The operator of the Rockies Express will be KMP.
