LCG, October 6, 2026--Google and Constellation Energy today announced a long-term strategic clean energy collaboration to bring 890 MW of new, reliable, carbon-free nuclear capacity onto the PJM Interconnection grid to meet growing demand and increase grid reliability. LCG, October 5, 2026--The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) today announced a conditional loan commitment of up to $4.2 billion to finance nuclear uprates and modernization across Vistra’s nuclear fleet in Pennsylvania and Ohio. The projects are expected to preserve nearly 4 GW of carbon-free, baseload power and add 433 MW of new nuclear capacity that will support the growing electricity demand across the PJM region.

PGE to Build Biglow Canyon Wind Project
LCG, November 28, 2006--Portland General Electric (PGE) announced yesterday that it will construct the Biglow Canyon Wind Farm in Sherman County, Oregon. The project, which was developed by Orion Energy LLC, will have an initial electric generating capacity of 125.4 MW that will be derived from 76 turbines manufactured by Vestas Wind Systems. PGE will operate the wind farm, which is scheduled to commence commercial operations by December 2007.
PGE plans to further expand the capacity of the Biglow Canyon Wind Farm to provide a total generating capacity of 350 to 450 MW. The additional capacity would be built in two, subsequent phases over the next five years.
