LCG, September 12, 2025--Entergy announced yesterday that the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) approved Entergy Texas’ proposal to build two efficient natural gas-fired power plants to support the region’s rapid growth. The combined electric generating capacity of the two facilities, the Legend Power Station and the Lone Star Power Station, will add over 1,200 MW to the Southeast Texas power grid to support new customer demand, increase reliability and lower costs for all customers. Both facilities are scheduled to commence operations by mid-2028.

LCG, September 4, 2025--Puget Sound Energy (PSE) announced yesterday that phased construction has commenced on its 142-MW Appaloosa Solar Project, a utility-scale solar facility underway in southeastern Washington. The project is being built by Qcells EPC, who will serve as the module manufacturer and the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solution provider. Construction is scheduled through 2026, and commercial operation is expected at the end of next year.

BG North America Adds to Its Northeast Power Portfolio
LCG, December 28, 2006--BG North America, a wholly owned subsidiary of BG Group plc, announced today that it has executed an agreement to purchase the Lake Road Power Plant in Connecticut. The stated purchase price is $685 million. The purchase is expected to close in the first quarter of 2007, given timely regulatory approvals.
The Lake Road Power Plant, located in Dayville, is a combined cycle facility that can be fueled by either natural gas or oil. The electric generating capacity of the plant is 805 MW, and the plant delivers power into ISO New England (ISO-NE).
BG Group is a global natural gas business that operates four business segments ? exploration and production, LNG, transmission and distribution, and power. The purchase of the Lake Road Power Plant is the second power plant acquired this year by BG North America. In September, BG North America entered the power market by purchasing the 170-MW, gas-fired, Dighton Power Plant from Calpine Corporation for $90 million. The Dighton Power Plant, located in Massachusetts also delivers power into ISO-NE.
