OG&E and Google Announce Contract for Three Data Centers in Oklahoma

LCG, April 30, 2026--OG&E, the operating subsidiary of OGE Energy Corp., announced today that it will power three new data centers that Google announced in Muskogee and Stillwater, Oklahoma last year. As part of the agreement, Google will also make power generation capacity available from two solar facilities in Stephens and Muskogee Counties that are currently under construction. The data centers and associated Electric Service Agreements are expected to provide economic growth for local communities and the state, contribute to grid stability, and benefit OG&E's current customers.

Graphic Packaging and NextEra Energy Resources Sign 250-MW Virtual Power Purchase Agreement

LCG, April 29, 2026--Graphic Packaging Holding Company today announced a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with NextEra Energy Resources, LLC. With the VPPA agreement, NextEra Energy Resources plans to build the Selenite Springs Energy Center, a 250-MW solar energy facility in West Texas, and Graphic Packaging will be the sole buyer of the facility's renewable energy attribute certificates. Graphic Packaging, a global provider of sustainable consumer packaging, expects the agreement to cover approximately 43 percent of its 2025 electricity usage in the U.S. and Canada. The agreement will advance Graphic Packaging's commitment to source renewable electricity and reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Vestas Wind Systems Off to a Fast Pace in 2008

LCG, January 11, 2008--Danish wind-turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems is off to a strong start this year. Enel SpA, through its subsidiary Enel North America, Inc., announced yesterday that the Snyder Wind project, which includes 21 Vestas V90 3.0 megawatt wind turbines, commenced operations in Scurry County, Texas. The turbines are mounted on towers at a height of 345 feet.

Earlier this week, Vestas received an order from The AES Corporation for 52 of the V90-3.0 MW wind turbines to be delivered late this year. According to the announcement, the contract includes delivery, installation and commissioning of the turbines, along with a five-year service and maintenance agreement. In addition, Vestas received an order this week from Duke Energy for 55 units of the V82-1.65MW wind turbine for delivery in the latter half of this year to the Notrees Windpower project in Texas.

Last week, Horizon Wind Energy ordered 242 of the V82-1.65MW wind turbines, with delivery to start by year end. RES Americas also ordered 33 units of the V90-3.0 MW wind turbines to be used at the Central Plains Wind Farm in western Kansas. Delivery is planned for latter half of this year. Both orders include a five-year service and maintenance agreement

Finally, it was announced on January 4, 2008 that China Guangdong Nuclear Wind Power Co. Ltd. ordered 232 units of the V52-850 kW turbines for use in four wind projects in Inner Mongolia. Delivery is scheduled to begin in mid-2008 and to be completed by the end of 2009.
