LCG, January 13, 2026--Oglethorpe Power today announced it has selected Kiewit Corporation through its subsidiary, The Industrial Company (TIC), as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) partner for its new combined-cycle (CC), natural gas-fired power plant in Monroe County, Georgia. The new, 1,425-MW facility represents a capital investment of more than $3 billion. Commercial operation of the new generation capacity is planned to commence in 2029.

LCG, January 9, 2026--Meta today announced new, landmark agreements that will (i) extend and expand the operation of three existing nuclear power plants and (ii) drive the development of advanced nuclear technology. Meta's new agreements with Vistra, TerraPower, and Oklo follow Meta's request for proposals (RFP) issued last month. Meta expects these projects to deliver up to 6.6 GW of new and existing clean nuclear energy by 2035.

Construction Underway on Neptune LNG Project
LCG, July 24, 2008--SUEZ LNG NA LLC (SUEZ) announced yesterday that construction has started on its Neptune LNG project, which will be located approximately ten miles south of the city of Gloucester and 22 miles northeast of Boston. Neptune has a nominal capacity of 400 MMcf/day and is scheduled to be prepared to receive liquefied natural gas (LNG) by late 2009.
The LNG project design incorporates an offshore delivery where LNG tanker ships will moor. The specially designed ships will vaporize the LNG into natural gas that will be delivered into the existing HubLine sub-sea pipeline for delivery to customers in New England.
In the first phase of construction, approximately 13 miles of sub-sea pipeline will be installed to connect the Neptune LNG facility with the existing Spectra Energy HubLine.
The installation includes creating a sub-sea trench, installing the pipeline, and backfilling. This phase is scheduled for completion this September 2008.
The second phase will commence next May and includes the installation of two off-loading buoys for the tankers and the connection of the pipeline to Hubline. The second phase is scheduled to be completed in September 2009.
The offshore LNG receiving terminal was announced in February 2005. In October 2005, SUEZ LNG NA LLC's subsidiary, Neptune LNG LLC, announced that it received notice from the United States Coast Guard stating that its Neptune Deepwater Port application for a license to construct an offshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility was complete.
SUEZ LNG NA's wholly owned subsidiary, Distrigas of Massachusetts LLC, owns and operates an existing LNG receiving terminal in Everett, Massachusetts, which began service in 1971.
