LCG, January 13, 2026--Oglethorpe Power today announced it has selected Kiewit Corporation through its subsidiary, The Industrial Company (TIC), as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) partner for its new combined-cycle (CC), natural gas-fired power plant in Monroe County, Georgia. The new, 1,425-MW facility represents a capital investment of more than $3 billion. Commercial operation of the new generation capacity is planned to commence in 2029.

LCG, January 9, 2026--Meta today announced new, landmark agreements that will (i) extend and expand the operation of three existing nuclear power plants and (ii) drive the development of advanced nuclear technology. Meta's new agreements with Vistra, TerraPower, and Oklo follow Meta's request for proposals (RFP) issued last month. Meta expects these projects to deliver up to 6.6 GW of new and existing clean nuclear energy by 2035.

GE Partners with ACCIONA in Dakota Wind Project
LCG, August 13, 2008--GE Energy Financial Services, a business unit of General Electric Company, announced Monday that it is investing $141 million in the Tatanka Wind Farm, a project developed by ACCIONA. Wachovia Investment Holdings LLC also provided structured equity to the $381 million project, which began commercial operations last month. ACCIONA operates the 180-MW wind farm.
The Tatanka Wind Farm includes 120, 1.5-MW wind turbines and has a footprint that covers over 14,000 acres of farmland in Dickey and McIntosh Counties, North Dakota, and McPherson County, South Dakota. Construction started in April of last year.
