LCG, April 30, 2026--OG&E, the operating subsidiary of OGE Energy Corp., announced today that it will power three new data centers that Google announced in Muskogee and Stillwater, Oklahoma last year. As part of the agreement, Google will also make power generation capacity available from two solar facilities in Stephens and Muskogee Counties that are currently under construction. The data centers and associated Electric Service Agreements are expected to provide economic growth for local communities and the state, contribute to grid stability, and benefit OG&E's current customers.

LCG, April 29, 2026--Graphic Packaging Holding Company today announced a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with NextEra Energy Resources, LLC. With the VPPA agreement, NextEra Energy Resources plans to build the Selenite Springs Energy Center, a 250-MW solar energy facility in West Texas, and Graphic Packaging will be the sole buyer of the facility's renewable energy attribute certificates. Graphic Packaging, a global provider of sustainable consumer packaging, expects the agreement to cover approximately 43 percent of its 2025 electricity usage in the U.S. and Canada. The agreement will advance Graphic Packaging's commitment to source renewable electricity and reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

New Record for U.S. Wind Power Capacity Additions in 2012
LCG, January 31, 2013--The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) announced yesterday that the U.S. wind energy industry installed a record total of 13,124 MW of electric generating capacity at 190 projects located in 32 states and Puerto Rico. The cumulative installed wind capacity in the U.S. now totals 60,007 MW.
AWEA also estimates that in 2012 new wind power capacity exceeded all other types of new power generation by providing 42 percent of new generation capacity.
With the federal Production Tax Credit (PTC) expiration date looming on December 31, 2012, wind power installations in the fourth quarter totaled 8,380 MW, surpassing all prior quarterly performance. On January 1, 2013, the PTC was extended by Congress as part of the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012.
AWEA Interim CEO stated, "The fact that wind power grew by another 28 percent in 2012 alone and poured $25 billion of private investment into the U.S. last year demonstrates wind?s ability to scale up, and continue to serve as a leading source of energy in America."
The top ten states for new wind capacity installations in 2012 are: Texas, 1,826 MW; California, 1,656 MW; Kansas, 1,440 MW; Oklahoma, 1,127 MW; Illinois, 823 MW; Iowa, 814 MW; Oregon, 640 MW; Michigan, 611 MW; Pennsylvania, 550 MW; and Colorado, 496 MW. All of these states have renewable portfolio standards or goals.
