LCG, October 6, 2026--Google and Constellation Energy today announced a long-term strategic clean energy collaboration to bring 890 MW of new, reliable, carbon-free nuclear capacity onto the PJM Interconnection grid to meet growing demand and increase grid reliability. LCG, October 5, 2026--The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) today announced a conditional loan commitment of up to $4.2 billion to finance nuclear uprates and modernization across Vistra’s nuclear fleet in Pennsylvania and Ohio. The projects are expected to preserve nearly 4 GW of carbon-free, baseload power and add 433 MW of new nuclear capacity that will support the growing electricity demand across the PJM region.

Apple Signs Its Largest Wind Project to Date
LCG, April 26, 2017-- Apple announced in its recently released Environmental Responsibility Report that it has signed an agreement to purchase power from the Montague Wind Power Project in Gilliam County, Oregon. The 404-MW wind project is owned by Montague Wind Power Facility LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Avangrid Renewables LLC. Apple will purchase 200 MW of capacity in the wind project, with the renewable energy destined for Apple's Prineville data center.
"To support our Prineville data center, we recently signed a 200-megawatt power purchase agreement for a new Oregon wind farm, the Montague Wind Power Project, set to come online by the end of 2018."
Apple's report also stated that it had executed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for the 56-MW Solar Star Oregon II photovoltaic (PV) project located near Apple's data center. Solar Star Oregon II LLC is a subsidiary of SunPower, which is building the Gala Solar project. The solar project is scheduled to commence operations at the end of this year.
